Congenital hand anomalies are abnormalities in the hand structure that occur from birth. These anomalies usually occur as a result of a problem that occurs during hand formation during the development of the fetus. Treatment of congenital hand anomalies is planned according to the type and shape of the hand problem. For example, attached fingers are opened, extra fingers are removed, large and crooked fingers are thinned and corrected, and if there is no thumb, a new thumb is made.
