TRCheek aesthetics is a surgical procedure applied to people who have fat accumulation in their cheeks when they gain weight and do not like the fullness of their cheeks.
It can be applied to women, men, young and old people who have complaints of fullness in their cheeks and its effects are permanent.
It is the superficial cheek fat pad, which is responsible for 30-40% of the cheek fullness to be removed in the surgery. In the surgery, this fat mass is reached and the excess fat that fills the cheek is removed. The surgery can be performed under general anesthesia or with sedation and takes around an hour. With the classical method, the surgery is done completely through the mouth (closed technique) and there is absolutely no visible scar from the outside. The only thing that will attract attention from the outside is the flattening of the cheek due to the decrease in the fat mass in the cheek area.
The incision in the mouth is stitched with self-dissolving stitches, it is not necessary to remove the stitches. The effect of surgery can be increased by performing liposuction on the subcutaneous fat tissue of the cheek with thin cannulas from the outside of the cheek. The recovery period after surgery passes quickly. You can be discharged 3-4 hours after the operation, when the effect of narcosis wears off and you start eating. A dressing of pads will be made on your cheeks when you are discharged. On the third day, pets are taken at your control. In the first days, swelling may occur on your face due to edema caused by surgery. In fact, your face may appear fuller than before the surgery. This is a temporary situation, but it should take at least two months for the full result to be seen. Keeping your head elevated for seven to ten days will allow the edema to pass quickly. It will be sufficient to put a large pillow behind your head and lie on the bed as if you are sitting lightly. Since the oral mucosa heals rapidly, feeding with watery food for only a few days, using antibiotics and mouthwash is sufficient to prevent infection.
Some patients want to remove as much fat as possible by surgery and want their cheeks to be sunken. With the removal of cheek fat pads, your cheeks do not collapse, only their fullness decreases; flattens out.
