This operation is performed under general anesthesia. It takes an average of 3 hours. Different techniques can be used according to the form and size of your breasts. The aim is to provide the appropriate size and form for the breasts. Generally, drains are used to remove blood and body fluids that may accumulate in the operation area. You need to stay in the hospital for 1 day. At the end of a day, the drains are removed and it is convenient for you to go home.
Immediately after the operation, an elastic dressing or a corset-like bra is worn and it is recommended to use this corset for a few weeks. You are asked to use appropriate drugs for about 1 week for pain control and protection from infection. Heavy physical activities are restricted for about 1 month. In this process, appropriate medication is started for the scars.
